Game, Set, Impact: Holiday Classic Raises $25,000 for Children at MUSC

January 16, 2025

The 17th Annual Holiday Classic, presented by Safelite, marked a milestone year, raising $25,000 for the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. The three-day event, held at LTP Daniel Island Tennis Center from December 6-8, brought together over 200 tennis players in the spirit of competition and charity.

This year’s total—combining $20,000 raised through LTP Tennis and a $5,000 direct donation from Safelite—represents the tournament’s most successful fundraising effort to date. Over 200 items were also donated for the Child Life Wish List, providing much-needed toys, crafts, and supplies to brighten the hospital stay for young patients.

“Each year, this event grows in impact, and 2024 was no exception,” said Nancy Heinz, tournament director and membership manager at LTP Daniel Island. “The generosity of our players, sponsors, and community is truly inspiring, and it’s humbling to see how our shared passion for tennis can make such a meaningful difference in the lives of these children.”

Safelite’s ongoing support has been instrumental in the tournament’s success. “It’s an honor to be part of this incredible tradition,” said JoAnn Nemeth, District Manager at Safelite. “Helping to bring joy and comfort to children and families is at the heart of why we support this event.”

Over the last four years, the Holiday Classic has raised $82,500 for MUSC Children’s Hospital, proving the power of sport to drive positive change.
