Tennis enthusiasts in Charleston are in for a treat as the ATP Challenger at LTP Mount Pleasant returns from Sept. 22-29. As the only men’s professional tennis event in the Lowcountry, this tournament brings some of the sport’s rising stars and established players to the local courts, offering an exciting opportunity to witness high-level competition up close.
Headlining the tournament are Olympian Christopher Eubanks and J.J. Wolf. Eubanks, who reached a career-high ranking of World No. 29 in 2023, has become a well-known figure not only for his skill on the court but also for his work as a tennis commentator. His powerful serve and commanding presence make him a player to watch throughout the tournament.
Joining him is J.J. Wolf, a former Ohio State standout, known for his tenacious play and distinct style. Wolf, who reached a career-high ranking of World No. 39 in 2023, has made a name for himself on the ATP Tour with strong performances in Grand Slam events, cementing his reputation as one of the game’s most exciting young players.
The field will also feature emerging talent like Learner Tien, a 2023 finalist at both the Australian Open and U.S. Open Juniors, as well as Brandon Holt, son of tennis legend Tracy Austin. Local standout Sawyer Severance, a five-star recruit and LTP Academy student, will also compete, offering fans a chance to cheer on homegrown talent.
