Introducing the New Pickleball Band System

LTP Pickleball is excited to introduce a brand-new initiative – the Band System created by Steve Williams & Nadia Haven. This color-based system is a strategic initiative aimed at fostering a vibrant, inclusive pickleball community. By enabling players to easily find their appropriate groups and participate in suitable activities, the system ensures that every member feels welcomed and valued. This approach not only enhances individual experiences but also strengthens the overall community fabric of our club, making it a model for inclusivity and engagement in sports organizations.

The Band System establishes a common language for our community, ensuring that all members feel confident they are engaging in activities that match their skill level. This self-rated system allows players to identify their color based on the descriptions outlined, helping guide them to the appropriate clinics, open plays, or round robins, and enhancing their overall experience. It is important to note that the Band System is not meant to compete with existing rating systems or create a hierarchy among members. Instead, it serves to foster an inclusive environment where every player can find their place and enjoy the game of pickleball at their own pace and level.

• White Band: Just starting out? This level is for you!
• Yellow Band: Developing your skills? You belong here!
• Green, Purple and Red Bands: Continue building your game with more advanced strategies.
• Teal and Dark Blue Bands: For those seeking a higher level of play and expert challenges.

Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced player aiming to refine your strategies, the Band System will help us better serve your needs and ensure that every member finds their best match on the court.
