ITF W100 in Photos

November 12, 2023

Charleston native Emma Navarro won the ITF W100 Tournament held Nov. 6-12 at LTP Mount Pleasant.

The tournament featured 56 singles players and 16 doubles teams from around the world.

This was the final of three major women’s events that conclude the 2023 USTA Pro Circuit season. Charleston has long been a host of prominent women’s tennis events, including an annual WTA 500 Credit One Charleston Open as well as another W100 event held earlier this year.

Navarro was joined in the field by a number of talented Americans including fellow WTA Top 100 player Alycia Parks, Hailey Baptiste, Sachia Vickery and Ann Li. Also in the field are former college tennis standouts McCartney Kessler and Makenna Jones.

Six of the tournament’s competitors are part of the local LTP Pro Player Development program, which include tennis coaching, physical therapy, mental health coaching and fitness training. These athletes spend significant time in the Lowcountry training when they’re not competing. Those players include No. 42 Emma Navarro, No. 156 Ann Li, No. 237 Maria Mateas, No. 450 Chloe Beck, No. 647 Ellie Douglas and former student and now LTP Coach Chelsea Sawyer.
